- MODULE 2: Coronavirus - Advice For The PublicIn this module, Advice for the Public, you will learn vital information on how to help protect yourself and your community from becoming infected with the novel coronavirus. You will also be given guidelines on how to practise food safety and take precautionary measures if shopping or working in wet markets in China or Southeast Asia. You will also learn about WHO guidelines for international travel, what to do if you suspect you or someone else may be infected, and myths surrounding Covid-19 After completing this module, you will be able to: • Describe how the general public can reduce exposure to and transmission of the novel coronavirus. • Identify precautionary measures you can take to reduce your risk of being exposed to novel coronavirus. • Define the procedure for correctly washing your hands. • Outline the different circumstances in which you should wash your hands. • Uncover the myths surrounding the coronavirus • Identify the appropriate guidelines for practising food safety. • Outline precautionary measures that should be taken if/when shopping or working in wet markets within China and Southeast Asia. • Outline guidelines for how to stay healthy while travelling as per WHO recommendations.10
